Bitcoin just gave us a really important signal that most people are missing. Everyone is looking at the drop from $65K and asking: “Is this the start of another dump?” I’m looking at something else. Leverage. Bitcoin dropped. but open interest dropped with it. That’s a big difference. When price falls and traders keep adding leverage, that’s when you get dangerous moves and liquidation cascades. Right now, we’re seeing the opposite. Traders are getting flushed out. Open interest has fallen from above $22B towards $21.2B, meaning a lot of excess risk has already been removed from the market. This is exactly what you want to see during a healthy reset. The market is clearing leverage instead of building more of it. I’m watching $63K closely. If Bitcoin holds here and open interest starts rising alongside price, that’s a much healthier signal that buyers are stepping back in. If we lose $63K and leverage starts rebuilding again, then I’d become more cautious. But right now? This doesn’t look like Bitcoin breaking down. It looks like Bitcoin resetting. A lot of people only watch price. The better traders watch what’s happening underneath.
