This is the thread CT needs right now 🧵👇 #Crypto #Bitcoin $BTC $SOL 1/6 THE SCOREBOARD $BTC: -23% ($87,700 → ~$66,500) $ETH: -43% $SOL: -35% ($125 → ~$81) Total crypto market cap: dropped from $3.1T to $2.3T Fear & Greed Index: 9 out of 100 This was one of the worst Q1s in crypto history. 2/6 WHAT WENT WRONG Three things destroyed Q1: 1/ The Iran war (started early March) → Oil spiked past $100 → Inflation fears returned → Fed forced to stay hawkish 2/ Hawkish Fed → Only 1 rate cut projected for ALL of 2026 → Rates stuck at 3.5%-3.75% → No liquidity relief 3/ Memecoin collapse → Solana DEX volume crashed 62% → 49% of https://t.co/RLZwA9HW8T traders ended March in the red → Retail confidence shattered 3/6 THE MACRO REALITY This isn't just crypto weakness. → S&P 500 and Gold both pulled back significantly → Oil above $100 is forcing the Fed's hand → Rate cut probability collapsed → BTC crashed 45% from its ATH in 180 days Crypto doesn't exist in a vacuum. When macro breaks, everything breaks. 4/6 THE BRIGHT SPOTS (yes, there are some) → BTC ETF inflows still positive ($69.4M on March 30 alone) → MSTR acquired 90,000 BTC in Q1 → Solana stablecoin volume hit record $650B in February → Wall Street brokerages still expect 2 rate cuts (vs Fed's 1) → Solana Alpenglow upgrade still coming Not everything is dead. But the timing isn't here yet. 5/6 WHAT I'M WATCHING FOR Q2 ✅ Does BTC hold $60K–$65K? (critical range) ✅ Does SOL reclaim $88–$90? ✅ Does the Iran situation stabilize? (oil below $90 = bullish) ✅ Does the Fed signal a cut at the May meeting? ✅ Does Solana DEX volume recover above $60B? All 5 = aggressive positioning. 0-2 = patience continues. 6/6 MY PERSONAL OUTLOOK $BTC: $39K target still alive. Q1 proved the macro is not friendly. $SOL: watching $72–$78 as the next real accumulation zone. Memecoins: not the time. Utility coins: accumulation starts soon. Q1 was painful. Q2 will be decisive.
